My name is Rachel and I am a travelling consultant with a big passion for baking. I currently live in Austin and I am proud of my home state y'all! I moved to New York City right after graduating from college and ended up staying there for 6 years. I absolutely loved every minute of my New York experience, but decided it was time I moved back Austin last year. I am happy to be back near my family and man am I glad to be out of my tiny NYC kitchen. Not having to spread baking projects all over the living room is something I had definitely taken for granted before living in NYC.

Thanksgiving 2012: 6 pies for 10 people. That's normal, right?

My family has always been big dessert eaters so I grew up with lots of dessert around (ahem see the pie madness picture). I am known by my friends for eating any and all baked goods...and then calling it research. Now that I have found out that I am gluten-intolerant, I do the same thing with any and all gluten-free baked goods. It's important to know what's out there, so yes I will try all 4 of your gluten-free cookies...errr right?
